These works form the main access to the site for initial development and future sales.
Mayer Brown’s infrastructure design team were appointed to develop the detailed design and guide the proposals through the Section 278 Agreement process. This involved close liaison with Essex County Council and other stakeholders to secure technical approval. Once approved, we prepared and managed the tendering of the works, awarding the contract to the successful contractor to implement the works on site under the close supervision of Mayer Brown.
The works were completed on time and budget and adopted by the highway authority following the maintenance period. The Developer was then able to utilise this access as an initial gateway feature to their new development to commence construction of the on-site elements.
