Ecology

Ecological assessment is a requirement of virtually all development proposals these days and at Mayer Brown we are able to co-ordinate and manage all levels of ecological assessment having built on extensive experience of carrying out wider environmental assessment projects.

Typically our ecological assessment services encompass the following;

• Planning advice, including preparation of management plans, management agreements, ecological impact assessments and development of mitigation strategies
• Wildlife survey assessments
• Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
• Protected species surveys and assessments
• Arboricultural services including tree surveys

Ecological surveys are often time and season sensitive and we work with our clients to advise them on the appropriate time of year in which to undertake specific surveys and assist with timely intervention in order to avoid lengthy and often costly planning delays.
