Scheme Objectives:
Mayer Brown was commissioned by Centros Miller, Lancaster City Council’s chosen preferred developer, to assess the transport implications for the implementation of the Masterplan for a 10-acre Canal Corridor North Site in Lancaster city centre.

As part of the study, a PARAMICS model for the town centre, based on the Council’s earlier model, was developed by Mayer Brown to evaluate the design and management options.

Mayer Brown’s Role:

Mayer Brown Ltd’s brief was to further develop the County’s model by:

• Carrying out traffic surveys
• Updating the Council’s model to provide a base model
• Evaluating development schemes and
• Optimising signal settings using LINSIG and TRANSYT
