To explore the potential for redevelopment within the town centre and to re-address the balance and priorities between traffic and pedestrians.

To contribute to the creation of attractive streets and spaces in which businesses could thrive and residents and visitors could spend time in and enjoy.

Mayer Brown’s Role:

Mayer Brown analysed the existing traffic flows and pedestrian data and proposed measures that complemented the existing streetscape and surrounding environment.

Suggested potential uses for a local development site were taken into account and a VISSIM micro simulation traffic model was developed to demonstrate the predicted changes to the traffic and pedestrian activity in the area.

Mayer Brown were able to recommend improvements backed up by demonstrable predictions of the effect on traffic and pedestrian flows.
