Master Planning and RegenerationClient:
Oxford UniversityScheme Objectives:
To create a completely refurbished shared surface which respected the original design characteristics of the historic Square.
River cobbles were specially treated with a hoggin top dressing in order to form a surface which was virtually the same as the original historic surface, yet comfortable and safe to walk upon. At the sametime, it was robust enough to withstand the weight of heavy vehicles.
Mayer Brown’s Role:
To work with Colin Davis and Associates for the provision of advice on high quality paving surfaces and to provide a seamless service to the Client.
Manage the practical issues of implementing the solution so that the final result was suitable for one of the most important and well used historic public spaces in the country.
