Transport Planning & Infrastructure DesignClient:
London Borough of SouthwarkScheme Objectives:
To provide personal advice to the Council’s Cycling Officer, supporting him in the Council’s in-house preparation of the CRISP Process (Cycle Route Implementation and Stakeholder Plan).
Mayer Brown’s Role:
A whole day one-to-one cycle ride with the cycling officer making him aware of the issues of the cycle route. Advice consisted of a cycle route alignment review, consideration of design concepts and practical implications of developing, designing and implementing the route at the outset of the participative route alignment assessment and scheme identification study.
The advice took into account regeneration initiatives, the Nunhead Urban Village study developments and traffic migration issues in the neighbouring areas. A set of photographs was issued to supplement the advice.
