To produce a Transport Scoping report for a proposed waste management site as part of an Environmental Impact Assessment, prior to undertaking a Transport Assessment.
Mayer Brown’s Role:To support a planning application for the expansion of an existing waste disposal site in relation to landfill and recycling facilities. Mayer Brown completed an assessment of vehicle movements associated with proposed development. Details of existing traffic movements and routes to the site were obtained and the predicted increase in traffic was estimated to assess the impact on highway capacity. A review of accidents within the local highway network was also completed at this sensitive site.
