Scheme Objectives:
The Downsview Housing Scheme is a £9.3 million affordable housing scheme of 97 homes available for rent or shared ownership.

The development has been designed on “Home Zone” principles in order to provide safe conditions for pedestrians, with vehicle speeds kept to a minimum.

Mayer Brown’s Role:

Mayer Brown’s experience in Home Zones has helped local Designers and Project Managers ERMC to come up with site access, road layout and parking arrangements combining high density development with an interesting and attractive design, at the forefront of new build Home Zone schemes in the U.K.

As well as designing the road layout, Mayer Brown has also designed the foul and surface water drainage for the site, together with improvements to an adjacent bridleway to make it more suitable for
cyclists.
