Produce bidding documents for London’s 900km principal cycle network (LCN+) whilst fostering stakeholder ownership of the LCN+ through an audit of pre-defined links, with lengths of up to 17km.
Mayer Brown’s Role:
Consulted stakeholders by means of a questionnaire survey, prepared a draft report in advance of stakeholder-led Cycle Route Inspection Meeting (CRIM). Hosted a CRIM with key stakeholders cycling the Link enabling informed discussions.
Produced a draft CRISP Report in advance of a stakeholder review meeting advising on strategic alignment, conditions for cyclists, and potential for improvement. Informed stakeholders based on thorough understanding of the traffic operation in London and barrier locations in particular.
Prepared concise and informative datasheets for each significant location along the Link. Delivered an agreed schedule of works which formed the basis for LCN+ bids to TfL.
Conducted successfully all stakeholder liaison. All studies have been completed and scheme implementation is well in progress.
