Scheme Objectives:A landmark office and hotel development in the heart of Preston located on a major arterial route.

Mayer Brown’s Role:Mayer Brown completed a Transport Assessment with a Travel Plan in support of the site’s planning application. The assessment considered in detail sustainable access to the site due to the city centre location and low parking levels. Accessibility plots utilising GIS proved invaluable within the study.
The constrained site presented challenges in relation to access for delivery, taxi and coach drop off facilities. Mayer Brown worked closely with the architects and local authority officers in order to produce a scheme which was both safe and efficient in terms of access, and also commercially viable.
