Phased redevelopment of Blackpool Sixth Form College by replacing substandard buildings and incorporating enhanced teaching facilities.
Mayer Brown’s Role:Mayer Brown produced a Transport Assessment which supported an existing college Travel Plan to accompany a new planning application for the site. Work involved close cooperation between Mayer Brown and the architects to provide a drop off facility and redesign of the car park adhering to standards.
Accessibility plots utilising GIS proved invaluable within the study to allow analysis of both student and staff movements. We conducted work to ensure that pedestrian and cycle routes and also bus stop locations were designed to reflect preferred routes.
