Lancaster City CouncilScheme Objectives:
To complete face to face cycle attitude surveys and manual counts throughout the Lancaster District. The data provides evidence in understanding changes in cycle levels and routes in the district, and assists in future travel planning.
Mayer Brown’s Role:
Mayer Brown’s North West office conducts quarterly cycle counts at fourteen sites in the Lancaster District (12 hour surveys).
In addition, Mayer Brown has completed several face to face surveys of cyclists around the Lancaster District. This provides information on cyclists trip patterns, attitudes to cycling and any local issues for cycling which need addressing.
Monitoring data is used in committee meetings, for public information and also forms part of Lancaster City Councils Cycle Demonstration Towns monitoring report. Reports include summary data, graphics and principal findings of data reviews.
