Recruitment at all levels is fundamental to our strategy of developing our staff for senior roles within Mayer Brown. New graduates or technicians are attached to one of our transport planning or highway design teams and receive a detailed exposure to all aspects of the business both through on the job training and specialist training courses. We also offer the opportunity for formal academic training in many cases.

We seek constantly to add value to our services in a variety of ways, from our knowledge capital and broad expertise to specifics such as our proprietary ‘travel plans’ for new houses. We also have a range of peripheral specialized services, such as consultancy on transportation for schools or transport strategies for sporting facilities. We carry out safety audits and can deliver detailed highway and infrastructure design, including topographic survey work.

We have the experience and the capability to solve these issues by helping to quantify air, noise, flood and drainage impacts, and by advising on compliance with environmental legislation

For many years Mayer Brown has carried out highway planning and design projects for a huge number of private and public sector clients, on a range of projects from simple access junctions through to multi-million pound town by-pass schemes. We provide detailed design solutions for all aspects of highway and infrastructure works for all modes of land-based transport, external works, car parks, drainage works and service supplies. We co-ordinate our design work with that of our clients, contractors and other professionals, including architects, structural engineers and quantity surveyors. We also provide contract administration, on-site supervision services, safety audit and planning supervision services for transport infrastructure projects.
